![]() I have yet to check the tech manual at home but I believe when I checked the trucks user manual it said "sensor in dash" blah blah blah and wasn't really specific. I just wanted to make sure that odd looking thing wasn't important and Ive found conflicting information. Ideally I'd love that thing in the center to be a trim piece that can pop out for wire routing since that most likely will be the permanent spot for one of my lights. I covered it for a bit and my headlights came on. I noticed the one in the middle of the speaker on the left side of the dash. Granted I didn't stand on the hood and look down on it but it seems completely black and doesn't seem to be translucent like a sensor normally is. I ran my hand over it and it feels textured almost like the hard plastic trim in the truck. I know the location of the wiper sensor so it's not that. Someone also said it was some sort of AC sensor (which I thought was on the lower kick panel near driver's knee) ![]() I found a few posts that indicate the little black circle in the dead center of the dash between the defog vents is the location of the headlight sensor, but I'm not so sure. Until everything is permanently installed I have a dash light on the dash centered and all the way forward. I'm trying to plan and set up my emergency lights for my truck. ![]()
